Democrats host outdoor concert

The Flathead Democrats and Flathead Democratic Women are hosting Blue Jam On The Bluff, Sunday, Aug. 14. The venue is on a spectacular bluff overlooking the Flathead River, near Columbia Falls.

Doors open at 3:30 p.m. with live music from 4 to 9 p.m.

Blue Jam On The Bluff is an all-ages event featuring a variety of local musicians. Musical director and one of the performers this year is Mike Eldred. Other musicians include The Mike Murray Duo, Ross Bridgeman, and Big Sky City Lights.

The cash bar will be hosted by Stumptown Spirits.

Tickets are $35 and include a hamburger or hot dog, with corn on the cob or chips. A vegetarian option will also be available. Children 8 and under are admitted free.

This year’s host is former Governor of Montana, Brian Schweitzer. Special guest will be U.S. House of Representatives candidate Monica Tranel.
