OSHA training

Job Service Kalispell will host a free two-day OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Course that teaches workers how to identify, abate, avoid, and prevent job-related hazards. The course is Tuesday, July 26 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday, July 27 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Job Service, 427 1st Ave East, Kalispell.

It will include the rights and responsibilities of the employer and the worker. After training is completed, students will receive a course completion card from OSHA. The card is for employers, workers, and students who want to increase their qualifications to work. The course is free, but advanced registration is required. To register email robert.flores@mt.gov

Solutions for rural businesses

The Small Business Association will hold a virtual event on July 19 from 11 a.m. to noon dedicated to answering questions regarding the barriers entrepreneurs in rural areas face.

The Whitefish Chamber of Commerce July Gone Fishin’ event is July 21 from 5-7 p.m. hosted by Montana Build, 3585 Hwy 40, Whitefish. The networking event gives business representatives the opportunity to interact with others.

Evergreen chamber event

The Evergreen Chamber of Commerce holds its July Energizer on July 21 from 5-6:30 p.m. at Excellimatrix, 770 W. Reserve Dr., Kalispell. Appetizers and beverages will be served while businesses representatives have the opportunity to network.
