LaVonda 'Sugar' (Mills) Poor, 61
On July 8th, 2022, we said our final farewell to our loving mother LaVonda "Sugar" Poor.
LaVonda was born on Aug. 13, 1960, in Idaho to Howard and Rayola Mills but was raised in Essex. She was one of seven children. She graduated from Flathead High School in 1978. In 1982 she married her high school sweetheart Eugene Poor. Together they raised two daughters, Chantel and Desiree'. LaVonda touched many lives through her daycare/preschool which she ran until 2001. She had many friends that she made in the Lake Blaine area through her job at Woody's.
In her free time, LaVonda enjoyed her garden, restoring old furniture, painting and interior decorating. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends. She often had company around her bonfire pit and played horseshoes.
She is survived by her daughter Chantel; her husband Micheal; and their son Alexander Babcock of San Antonio and daughter Desiree'; her husband Chris; and their sons Theron and Ryan Huston of Kalispell; as well as Eugene Poor of Shingletown. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings Ron, Roy, Bobby, Vickie, Franny, and Tina.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather Raymond Fredericks of Kalispell father Howard Mills of Albuquerque and mother Rayola Harman of Missoula.
