Live music at Columbia Falls Sunday Market

Wylie Gustafson, the well-known yodeler from Conrad, will perform at Sunday Market, July 31. Sunday Market is Columbia Falls' new, old-timey, farmers market located on Sixth St., West in front of the library. The market runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Sunday until Sept. 11.

This Sunday’s Market wraps up Heritage Days, Columbia Falls’ annual summer celebration. There will also be a pie eating contest, with a cash prize for the winner.

Democrats host outdoor concert

The Flathead Democrats and Flathead Democratic Women host Blue Jam On The Bluff, Sunday, Aug. 14, on a bluff overlooking the Flathead River near Columbia Falls.

Doors open at 3:30 p.m. with live music from 4 to 9 p.m.

Blue Jam On The Bluff is an all-ages event featuring a variety of local musicians. Musical director and one of the performers is Mike Eldred. Other musicians include The Mike Murray Duo, Ross Bridgeman, and Big Sky City Lights.

Tickets are $35 and include a hamburger or hot dog, with corn on the cob or chips. A vegetarian option will also be available. A cash bar will be available. Children 8 and under are admitted free.

This year’s host is former Governor of Montana, Brian Schweitzer. With special guest U.S. House of Representatives candidate Monica Tranel.
