Duane Carlson, 86

Duane Carlson of Whitefish was born June 9,1936, in North Dakota to Arthur and Genevieve Carlson. He died at home on July 26, 2022.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen, son Mark (Debbie), and daughter Naomi; grandchildren, Travis (Sophie) Carlson, Elizabeth (Cam) Foster, Abby (Mitchell) Church, Coby Carlson, and Samuel Carlson.

Duane was preceded in death by his son, Dean Carlson, in June of 2013. After high school he served in the United States Marine Corps. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, storytelling (true or make believe), and his love of firearms and gunpowder.

A service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, Whitefish, on Saturday, July 30, at 10:30 a.m.
