Ronald Duane Palmer, 82
Ronald Duane Palmer, 82, of Kalispell, passed away Jan. 21, 2022, at the Whitefish Care and Rehab Center in Whitefish.
He was born Aug. 12, 1930, in Conrad, Montana, to Joseph Wesley Palmer and Minnie Agnes Wittmier.
Ron graduated from Conrad High School in Conrad and worked at Buttrey's in Conrad, and the Husky Station in Shelby, and then worked for Dick Irvin Trucking for many years. He sold and built grain bins and steel buildings in the area for a few years. He then moved to Yuma, Arizona, and worked for Jack Thompson Steel Buildings. He then moved to Kalispell and worked for Treweek Construction building a building for Lee Distributing. He worked for Lee Distributing until it was sold, and started Flathead Truck Repair with Cristi Lee and Brian Reed. Ron worked until he was 79 and then sold the business.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents Minnie and Wes Palmer, brother Leo Palmer, sisters Sharry Carlson, Carol Gillis and Connie Palmer, and nephews Terry Palmer and Kerry Seidler.
He is survived by his wife Sharon of Kalispell, children Tim (Mona) Palmer of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Idaho, Becky (Elias) Delos Reyes of Vacaville, California, and Wendy (Danny) Wrenn of Yuma. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Cassie (Thom) Costello, Hannah (Packy) Tagliaferro, Emily (Cole) Edginton, Christina (Casey) Blair, Elias (PJ) Delos Reyes, Tony Delos Reyes and Tim Delos Reyes and 8 Great Grand Children and several nieces and nephews.
Ron will be laid to rest on Saturday, June 11, at the Sunburst Cemetery in Sunburst, Montana. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. with a luncheon following the service at the United Methodist Church in Sunburst.
