Bigfork jewelry artist shows new collection at Phillips Studio
Bigfork artist and designer Bonnie Nickel is releasing her new summer collection of jewelry at Phillips Studio & Gallery during the “Saturday Afternoon at the Mall” event June 11.
Artist and designer Bonnie Nickel is releasing her new summer collection of jewelry at Phillips Studio & Gallery during the “Saturday Afternoon at the Mall” event June 11. This is Nickel’s second new summer collections release at the gallery. Nickel will be at the gallery from 2 to 4 p.m. exhibiting her new designer pieces. She will also be accepting commission work for special pieces of jewelry. She can work with color themes, matching sets for weddings, or design a piece for a particular outfit.
Nickel lives and works from her home in Bigfork. She travels to Arizona in the winter to collect gems and materials to design her dynamic and one-of-a-kind statement pieces. Her focus is to create new and unusual designs. Through her travels she has acquired unique pendants and beads. She uses spiral weaving techniques, wire crocheting, kumihimo and wire wrapping of stones. Nickel says she keeps her jewelry affordable to allow all women to explore their own dynamic personalities and to have a little fun with wearable art.
