GREAT FALLS — The Great Falls Voyagers struck back at Glacier again Saturday, riding four hits from Tavis Brunson and four runs batted in by Andy Atwood to a 16-5 Pioneer League victory at Centene Stadium.

The Range Riders (7-9) fell behind 4-0, closed to 4-3 in the fourth inning — Livingston Morris and Michael Knell wrapped RBI singles around Vinny Bologna’s run-scoring double — and then saw Great Falls (12-5) quickly open its lead back up in its half of the inning.

Atwood hit a two-run homer, his second, to push the gap to 7-3. He added what should have been a three-run homer in the sixth, but passed one of the Voyagers’ baserunners as the ball cleared the fence. That turned it into a long, two-run single that put Great Falls up 10-4.

Great Falls got six hits in the eighth — Brunson led off with a double, then added a two-run single in the frame — to score six more runs.

Dean Miller added an RBI single for the Range Riders in the fifth, and Jared Fry hit his first home run, a solo shot, in the ninth.

The teams conclude their five-game series Sunday, with first pitch at 4 p.m. Glacier won the first and third games.

The Range Riders have their home opener Tuesday against the Billings Mustangs, at 7 p.m.
