Legion: A Lakers 2-2 at Rein Memorial
BOZEMAN — Four different Helena players had two hits and two or more RBIs, and the Reps ate up a 5-0 deficit to beat the Kalispell A Lakers 12-7 Saturday at the Howard Rein Legion tournament.
TJ Hyack had an RBI single and Brysen Herion socked a two-run double during the Lakers’ first-inning uprising. But by the top of the fourth the Reps led 10-5.
A double by Adam Nikunen, two hit batters, and a bases-loaded walk to Michael Owens pushed across two more Kalispell runs with one out in the fourth. That cut the gap to 10-7, but the Lakers (19-17) got no closer, falling to 2-2 in the tourney.
