WHITEFISH — The first of Kellen Kroger’s four runs batted in gave the Glacier Twins all the runs they needed, and they went on to down the Clarkfork Riverdogs 13-3 in the Ed Gallo Wood Bat Tournament Sunday.

Kroger’s RBI groundout scored Josiah Ruther with the Twins’ fourth run in the first inning; Glacier (19-5) then withstood the Riverdogs’ three-run first — Eli Ratliff hit a two-run single — and went on to end the game early under the mercy rule at Memorial Field.

Kroger added an RBI single in the second inning, making it 7-3; his two-run single in the fourth made it 10-3.

Hayden Meehan drove in three runs and Mikey Glass knocked in two for the Twins. Maddox Muller had the game’s lone extra-base hit, a double.

Jake McIntyre threw all five innings, allowing two hits, two walks and one earned run. He fanned three. The Twins are 2-2 at the tournament, with the Spokane Dodgers Seals won with a 10-4 victory over Gonzaga Prep Navy.
