Bobcat men rout Sacramento St. Thursday

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Xavier Bishop had 14 points to lead five Montana State players in double figures as the league champion Bobcats romped past eighth-seeded Sacramento State 83-61 in the Big Sky Conference tournament quarterfinals on Thursday.

Great Osobor added 13 points for the Bobcats (25-7). Abdul Mohamed chipped in 11, league MVP Jubrile Belo scored 11 and RaeQuan Battle had 10.

Bryce Fowler had 20 points and seven rebounds for the Hornets (11-18). Zach Chappell added 19 points.

The win sets MSU up against Weber St., which handled the Montana Grizzlies Thursday afternoon, 68-56.

The teams meet for the third time this season. The Bobcats won 78-57 in the last matchup on Feb. 6. Bishop led MSU with 18 points, and Seikou Sisoho Jawara led the Wildcats with 14.

The Bobcats are 8-2 in their last 10 games, while Weber is 4-6.
