Patrick E. Farris, 63

Pat Farris passed away of renal failure at his home in Kalispell on Feb. 21, 2022.

He was born Aug. 7, 1958, in Kalispell to Andrew “Red” and Betty (Kahn) Farris. Pat graduated from Billings Senior High in 1976 and from Montana State University-Billings in 1981 with a degree in history. He was a voracious reader and researcher of Montana history. Pat enjoyed sharing time at Bitterroot Lake with family every summer since childhood. Pat’s career as a tax preparer gave him the opportunity to meet many interesting people.

Pat was preceded in death by both of his parents.

He is survived by his only son, Colby Farris, daughter-in-law, Kate, and grandson Patrick John, as well as his sisters, Lynn (Mike) Farris Vollmer and Bettina (Gary) Smigaj and nieces and nephews, Marty, Kjelseth, Katelyn and Andrew; aunts, Dorothy McMillan, Carla Kahn and Sue Lopinski, as well as a host of cousins.

Pat requested that he be cremated and that no service be held.
