Two die in crashes over the weekend
A 69-year-old Marion woman is dead after the 2007 Ford F250 she was driving westbound on U.S. 2 in Marion Sunday, reportedly drifted to the right, hit a delinator post, went up an embankment and rolled into some trees, according to Montana Highway Patrol. She was wearing her seat belt.
Road conditions were reported as wet.
A TWO-VEHICLE crash in East Glacier on Saturday left one man dead and two injured.
According to Montana Highway Patrol, a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero driven by a 31-year-old Cutbank woman was traveling westbound on U.S. 2 and entered East Glacier at a high rate of speed, allegedly causing the vehicle to lose control and slide sideways. The Oldsmobile then entered the eastbound lane, hitting a 2021 Nissan Rogue driven by a 73-year-old woman from Addison, Illinois, head-on.
The Cutbank woman was transported to the hospital with injuries. Her 33-year-old passenger, a Billings man, died at the scene. Both Oldsmobile occupants were wearing seat belts, according to troopers.
Road conditions were reported as clear.
