Carroll's Sljivancanin is NAIA All-America
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Carroll College put two players on the NAIA men’s basketball All-America teams that were released Thursday, and senior forward Jovan Sljivancanin is a first-team pick.
Sljivancanin, out of Belgrade, Serbia, is one of 12 men on the first team. He was a second-team pick a year ago. Teammate Shamrock Campbell, a senior out of Spokane, was a third-team pick after being honorable mention in 2021.
Carroll, coached by Whitefish product Kurt Paulson, has now had five first-team All-Americans according to the Independent-Record: J.D. Solomon, Zach Taylor, Ryan Imhoff and Match Burnham were the others.
The Frontier Conference is also represented by two Montana Tech players: senior point guard Sindou Diallo out of Tacoma, Wash., was second-team; Caleb Bellach, a sophomore guard out of Manhattan, was honorable mention.
Also earning honorable mention was Jalen Hodges, a senior forward out of Georgia who played for Montana Western.
