Flathead Valley athletes NAIA All-Academic
WHITEFISH — Conference commissioner Kent Paulson released the 2021-22 Frontier Conference academic all-conference basketball teams, and several Flathead Valley products made the list.
Fifty-six women’s players were named to the team with Montana Tech and Rocky Mountain College leading the way with 11 each. Forty-one men’s players are honored; Rocky had 13.
To be eligible for the team, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in standing and maintain a 3.25 GPA.
From Carroll College, junior Rakiah Grende of Bigfork was selected, while three Columbia Falls players earned the honors for MSU-Northern: seniors Sidney Hovde and Peyton Kehr and junior Ryley Kehr.
Glacier High product Aubrie Rademacher, a sophomore at Montana Tech, made the list; so did Jayden Winslow, a junior out of Libby, for Montana Western, and Ansleigh Edgerton, a sophomore out of Bigfork, for Rocky Mountain College.
On the men’s side, Rocky’s Beau Santistevan, a senior out of Bigfork, made the list along with Providence’s Brett Thompson, a junior out of Flathead High.
