Flye leads Frontier’s NAIA All-America selections
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — N’Dea Flye of Rocky Mountain College is a first-team All-American, and Carroll College had three players honored as the NAIA released its women’s basketball honors teams Friday.
Flye, a senior point guard, helped lead the Battlin’ Bears into the final eight of the NAIA Tournament. She was one of 12 first-team picks, which included Player of the Year Stephanie Soares, a junior for The Master’s out of California, and the only selection from the Frontier Conference.
Carroll saw senior guard Dani Wagner made the second team alongside two Providence Argonauts: seniors Emilee Maldonado and Parker Esary.
The third team included junior forward Brynley Fitzgerald of Montana Western, and Carroll saw senior Christine Denny and junior Jamie Pickens get honorable mention, along with Rocky Mountain junior Kloie Thatcher.
