As warmups for Archie Roe go, this will do nicely for Flathead.

The host Bravettes won their own triangular track and field meet at Legends Stadium Tuesday, winning four individual events and one relay on the way to 64 points. Defending AA champion Missoula Sentinel was next with 59 ½, and Missoula Hellgate was two points further back.

Sentinel scored 76 points to take the boys crown; Flathead edged off Hellgate for second, scoring 53 ½ points.

Kelcey Copping (100), Peyton Walker (400), Taliana Miller (shot put) and Kennedy Moore (high jump) were individual winners for the Bravettes, and Walker’s time of 61.37 seconds unofficially slips into the top 10 in AA.

Miller also set a PR, but it was in the javelin — she threw a personal-best 121 feet, 5 inches. Trouble was Hellgate’s Keke Davis also PR’d, throwing 142-10, pushing Miller down to fourth in AA.

Another PR was by Flathead’s Hania Halverson, who cleared 10-6 in the pole vault. She was second to Hannah Moses of Hellgate, who cleared 11-3.

Sentinel had some standouts — Brooke Stayner swept the 200 and both hurdles races — but not the depth, though Emily McElmurry won the triple and was second in both hurdles.

On the boys’ side, Dylan Zink swept the jumps for Flathead and increased his season best in the long jump to 21-3.

Teammate Noah Hannah cleared 12-6 to win the pole vault; and the Braves lowered their long relay time almost 4 seconds, to 3:34.43.

Sentinel had a lot of firsts and depth, and the toughest race was the 1,600 where both Sentinel’s Keagan Crosby (4:22.14) and Hellgate’s Finneas Colescott (4:24.83) ran under what had been the fastest time in the AA: 4:25.13, by Glacier’s Sam Ells.

That sets up one of many marquee battles for Saturday’s 43rd Archie Roe Invitational at Legends Stadium. The multi-team meet begins at 10 a.m.
