Wolfpack softball shuts down Hellgate 15-0

Sammie Labrum hit two home runs and Paishance Haller hit another as Glacier downed winless Missoula Hellgate 15-0 Thursday in Western AA softball.

Kenadie Goudette’s two-run double highlighted a five-run burst in the first inning that put the Wolfpack (8-9 overall, 3-8 in league games) in command. In the second inning, Labrum and Haller hit two-run homers, before back-to-back doubles by Ella Farrell and Zoey Allen made it 10-0.

Labrum added another two-run shot in the fourth inning, capping the scoring. She and leadoff hitter Brooklyn Imperato each scored three runs

Farrell threw five innings in a game shortened by the mercy rule. She gave up one hit, to Sin Gervais, walked two and struck out seven. Hellgate fell to 0-18, 0-10.

Ronan 15, Libby 5

RONAN — Kiara Sherman and Harlee Webster each homered and drove in four runs, and Ronan pulled away for a 15-5, five-inning win over Libby Wednesday in Northwest A softball.

Webster’s RBI double capped a five-run first inning as Ronan (8-7 overall, 2-3 in league) took the lead for good.

Down 7-2, Libby (9-8, 2-5 in league) cut the gap to 7-4 on Taylor Munro’s two-run homer in the third.

The Maidens then put up an 8-spot in the fourth inning, with Webster and Sherman each smacking three-run home runs. Ally Luedtke had three hits; she and Ashlee Welker hit doubles for Ronan.

Sherman also went the distance on the hill, scattering nine hits and a walk in five innings. She struck out none.

Destinee Crawford doubled for Libby, and Mackenzie Foss hit a double and triple.
