Keller Williams office assists with snack program
In a year plagued by uncertainty, it was no surprise that the Flathead Snack Packing Program found itself in uncharted territory as the snack inventory dropped and donations dwindled. However, after the program coordinator, Molly Thibert was approached by the local Keller Williams Realty Northwest Montana, snack donations skyrocketed, exceeding the contributions necessary to complete the school year.
Every second Thursday in May, every Keller Williams office worldwide closes down to allow agents and associates to dedicate a day to giving back to their community. The local Keller Williams Realty Northwest Montana closed their doors for the day for over 50 agents, staff, and family members to bring over 7,000 snacks to the Flathead Snack Packing Program.
“Wouldn’t it be awesome if we didn’t have to dip into our snack program funds to finish out the school year,” Molly Thibert remarked when approached by staff at Keller Williams.
Local elementary schools have a dedicated snack time for the students in the morning. However, if the student comes to school without snacks, the Flathead Snack program provides a bag at the beginning of the week with 10 different snacks for the kids to enjoy.
“Two little snacks a day become their lifeline,” Thibert said.
Katie Stephens, Keller Williams Realty Northwest Montana Market Center Administrator, said Keller Williams agents look forward to RED Day every year and were excited to partner with the Flathead Snack Program this year.
“We love to see the direct impact we can make in our surrounding communities,” Stephens said.
