Whitefish netters on a roll

A few matches were played indoors at the Summit when the Northwest A tennis divisional started Thursday, but the weather held enough later on for play to resume outdoors at the FVCC courts.

Things moved quickly after that, with semifinals set in every category.

In boys singles, Polson’s Torrin Ellis will face Whitefish’s Highland Lee-French, and Joe Brandt of Whitefish has Libby’s Ryan Beagle in the semis.

Whitefish has two doubles teams in the semis: Aaron Dicks/Mason Kelch and Finn Stagg/Jesse Burrough.

Polson’s Trent Wilson/Owen McElwee have Stagg/Burrough as their semifinal foe, and Dicks/Kelch have Columbia Falls’ Cade Morgan/Cody Schweikert.

Clara Todd of Polson and Lauren Brown of Whitefish are semifinal opponents in girls singles, as are Cloey Ramage of Columbia Falls and Whitefish’s Anyah Cripe.

Polson has two doubles teams in Friday’s semifinals: pairs Sierra Lundeen/Elizabeth Tolley and Camilla Foresti/Katie Smith.

Ronan’s Aaliyah Decker/Alyssa Pretty On Top are Foresti and Smith's semi opponent.

Lundeen and Tolley have the Whitefish pair of Tallory Workman/Emma Trieweiler.

Team scores were not available at press time.

Matches resume at 10 a.m. today on the FVCC courts.
