Rescue Dog awards franchise
Rescue Dog Franchising has awarded its first franchise to Susan Davenport‐Downey and Todd Downey.
To be awarded a franchise the applicants go through a multistep process to assure they will uphold the brand and standards of the food truck franchise company.
“Awarding our first franchise at a little over a year of operation is very exciting,” said Amanda Hart the company’s CEO. “We met with Susan and Todd back in April and instantly felt a connection with the pair. They checked all the right boxes with being very involved in their community, passion for helping animals, and believing in doing more.”
Each Rescue Dog donates a percentage of every sale and all tips to a local non‐kill animal shelter. The original Rescue Dog donated over $16,000 in their first year of operation. The core beliefs of the company is being community-minded, having good food, and supporting a great cause. In addition to supporting a non‐kill shelter each franchise feeds a fire department for free once a year. The brand also does a 10% discount for first responders.
The newest Rescue Dog, Rescue Dog of Northwest Montana, will open sometime in July. Their territory includes Bigfork, Somers, Lakeside, Lake County, Sanders County, and North Missoula. During their grand opening Rescue Dog of Northwest Montana will give away the first 100 hot dogs for free.
