Zoneth Lee Overbey, 80

Zon Overbey, 80, passed away on Nov. 4, 2022.

He was born in Orlando, Florida, raised in Tennessee and California, and retired to Montana. Zon spent his career in education. From teacher to school superintendent, he served the students of California for 30-plus years.

Zon was an outdoorsman. He loved hunting, skiing, fishing, hiking and boating. Cars, boats, motorcycles, dune buggies, and every type of motorized vehicle, magically appeared in the “family” garage!

Most of all, he loved entertaining. Sometimes, to his wife’s dismay, the doorbell would ring and there were guests for one of his impromptu dinners or cocktail parties. He loved his friends and made new ones everywhere he went.

He adored his family, children Brody and Hayden Lamar, wife Nancy, and sister Jan.

He will be sorely missed by many. Rest in peace, Zon, The last years have been difficult for you. We will cherish our time and memories with you.
