A man was helping another man close a business. As they finished up one of the men allegedly pulled a pistol out and placed it on the other man’s neck and chest area “for no reason.” The gun-wielding man was detained by the Kalispell Police Department.

A man and woman apparently thought a parking lot was their personal garbage can as they were seen sweeping trash out of the back of a green Dodge all over the lot. Everyone was counseled and the pair planned to pick up the trash.

A “hunk” of methamphetamine was allegedly found in a bathroom.

A homeowner checked a notification from a home security camera and reportedly saw a man in a “gauzed” face disguise and wearing a motorcycle helmet opening her screen door and ringing her doorbell. He then spoke with a woman off camera and left. Officers checked the residence and did not see any indication of entry.

Someone was concerned after reportedly hearing pounding and banging noises coming from inside a white van that had a white blanket on it. The noise sounded like someone was kicking it and the passerby asked officers to perform a welfare check. It was determined to be a misunderstanding and everything was OK.

A dark-colored Dodge truck and a white Jeep allegedly raced and chased each other up and down a neighborhood, the Jeep was taking out all the trash cans as they went. The driver stopped to pick up someone’s trash can and that person called the police, telling officers they took his key. There was also a party going on that was “getting wild.”

Another call about racing vehicles was reported to police later on when a gray sedan and a blue truck drove recklessly through a neighborhood in the direction of a baseball field.

A purported “known meth user” was blocking the doors of an apartment when someone was trying to get in. The tenant told officers that management told them to call the police if he was seen on the property. The man was visiting another tenant in the building and officers advised those residents that management did not want him on the property. They agreed to have him leave the property and planned to speak to management.

A man in a white vehicle, who was supposed to move along upon finishing repairs to his car after being on someone else’s property for several days, not only hadn’t left but had set up a camp around the vehicle. Officers assisted in having the man clean up his camp and leave.

Someone was suspicious of a homeless man reportedly wandering around people’s yards and then drinking from a neighbor’s sprinkler.

A vehicle allegedly drove in and out of a ditch, hit a cement barrier and then tried to get back into traffic.
