Kalispell chamber manufacturing symposium
The Kalispell Chamber of Commerce will hold its 2022 Manufacturing Symposium on Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Flathead Valley Community College’s Arts and Technology Building. The symposium's agenda includes important information about manufacturing resources, legislative update, a manufacturing financial forecast, session on adaptive leadership, whitewater roundtables, and available tour of the FVCC Occupational Trades programs.Cost is $55 for chamber members and $65 for non-members. Nomad holds job fair
Nomad Global Communication Solutions, which is celebrating its 20th year designing and building connected specialty vehicles, is set to host a Job Fair at its Columbia Falls facility on Oct. 21. From its Montana headquarters, the company has manufactured custom solutions for NASA, Verizon, the U.S. Department of Defense, utilities, educational institutions, healthcare providers, and dozens of state, local, and federal agencies. The job fair gives the community a chance to learn more about what the company does, and how peoples’ unique skills and talents might fit into the picture. The event runs from 3-7 p.m. at Nomad, 5414 U.S. 2, Columbia Falls.
Workshops looks at attracting international visitors
Glacier Country Tourism is partnering with Discover Kalispell on informative workshops on how to market to the international visitor by working with International Inbound (Receptive) Tour Operators. Get essential tips on working with this lucrative market, along with tools and best practices to attract international visitors to businesses year-round. Workshops are free, but only 30 spots are available for each workshop. Workshops are 10 a.m. to noon and 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, at Homewood Suites, 195 Hutton Ranch Road, Kalispell. Lodging association conference
The Montana Lodging and Hospitality Association will hold its Fall Tourism Conference and Trade Show in Billings on Oct. 25-27. This year’s theme is “Montana Hospitality…Embracing Change” and will focus on providing leadership in rapidly changing times. The event will kick off on Tuesday, Oct. 25, with an evening welcome activity and conclude on Thursday, Oct. 27, with the evening awards banquet.
