| October 12, 2022 12:00 AM

Edward Eberly passed in the early morning hours of Oct. 8, 2022, surrounded by family.

Born April 5, 1941, in Salt Lake City, the son of Clarence Eberly and Leathia Coomes Eberly. Ed graduated from the University of Montana with a Bachelor of Finance and Business degree. He married his loving wife, Marilyn, in 1964. The couple went on to adopt two wonderful children, Angela and Mark. The family moved from Helena to Kalispell in 1992 where Ed continued his career in Workers Compensation Insurance.

Ed spent much of his life serving others. He was a member of the National Ski Patrol, the Flathead Valley Nordic Ski Patrol, and taught CPR classes for the Red Cross. A loving husband and father, he always considered his family’s well-being his highest priority.

In his free time, Ed enjoyed traveling around Montana to photograph the state’s natural beauty, frequently hiking with the Over the Hill Gang. In the winter, he enjoyed both cross-country and downhill skiing and often spent his weekends on the slopes.

Ed is survived by his wife Marilyn Eberly, son Mark Eberly, daughter Angela Davis, and his five adoring grandchildren.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Ed with his family during the memorial service at Christ Church Episcopal, 215 Third Ave. E., Kalispell, MT 59901, on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 1 pm.

Johnson-Gloschat funeral home is caring for Ed and his family.
