A woman calling from Boston asked the Kalispell Police Department to check on an ill chinchilla a Kalispell woman reportedly posted about on a Facebook chinchilla owners group and remove it if necessary. She didn’t have an address and said the posts were about seeking help, but she remained concerned that the woman was not taking the proper steps to treat it and thought it could be suffering or dead.

A resident reportedly thought a neighbor shot him with a BB gun while he was mowing the lawn and believed the neighbor was harassing him because his girlfriend had a protection order against the man. He planned to do the same and pick up the paperwork needed to obtain a temporary restraining order.

Someone allegedly heard a woman scream for help and went to their neighbor’s house, where a woman lived alone, and banged on the door, but no one answered. Officers responded and everything was OK.

A welfare check was requested for a woman seen staggering around outside. The person making the request, called back when a red van picked her up.

A drunk man, who couldn’t keep his eyes open, allegedly refused a ride home and stumbled his way to his truck where he got into the driver’s seat. The person calling in the incident said he would call back if he left.

In a call associated with the incident, an employee, who was closing up for the night, was reportedly afraid to walk to her vehicle, which was parked in front of the drunk man’s truck. She said he was in the business earlier and seemed disoriented.

A man wearing a green hat and white hoodie was reportedly snooping around vehicles in a parking lot when he was approached by a customer and ran off.

A shoplifter was given a lifetime ban from being on store property.

Officers determined that a report made about two men dragging a barefoot woman in and out of a park bathroom was unfounded.

A customer’s vehicle was allegedly broken into while parked at the business and items were missing. They were advised the customer/registered owner of the vehicle would need to file a complaint.

Someone reportedly asked for a Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputy to respond to a Whitefish location where someone destroyed a house and shut off the power.

Someone in Coram allegedly found a man lying in a ditch who said he wanted to lie there until he died.

Noisy neighbors in Somers were reportedly causing ongoing issues when someone complained about hearing a loud and explosive noise at night and about noisy vehicles being around all hours of the night.

A man carrying a pistol, who allegedly stole two solar panels one night, was seen prowling around houses and cars.

A fishing boat was reported stolen in Columbia Falls.
