Perry Lee Moore, 75
Perry Lee Moore left earth behind to travel through worlds unknown on Sept. 5, 2022.
He was born Sept. 7, 1946, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, to Ardys Hogle and Gerdell Moore. He spent his boyhood and adolescence in the Wisconsin towns Palmyra and Stevens Point. During that time, he excelled at the sport of ski jumping.
Perry joined the U.S. Army as a young man where his typing skills proved useful as a clerk. After leaving the Army, Perry spent several years in California. That period of his life was vibrant and full of very entertaining stories that cannot be summed up here.
He was an avid reader. He especially enjoyed historical fiction, mystery, fantasy, conspiracy, crime, and detective drama. He regularly passed his books on to friends, neighbors, and family members with hopes that they would read them and be affected by the content as he had been.
Perry was also known for his love of music. He loved to share music with people and for them to reciprocate. His musical taste was all over the board and influenced many. He was loudly proud of the people in his life who had musical talent.
Perry was part of the community of Whitefish for over 40 years, where among many things, he raised his children, taught them to ski, and encouraged them in all their interests. Alongside his brother, Gregg Moore, and their partner, Gail Ohs, he owned and operated Moore Cabinets Incorporated.
Perry enjoyed Montana's beauty and vastness. He often took long drives through the state to simply have lunch, watch the bison roam, or practice some target shooting.
Perry is survived by his children, Christopher Wood, Sara Hiebert, and Julia Kutzman, as well as their mother, Heather Moore.
Perry requested no memorial service.
In Perry's honor, please eat, drink, and be merry!
