Wolfpack harriers run at Coaches Invite

MISSOULA — Missoula Hellgate’s Finneas Colescott was the fastest man at the Coaches Invitational cross country meet Thursday, and it wasn’t real close.

The class-by-class meet brought in four AA schools (and three from Class C) and saw Missoula Sentinel put several runners in the top seven for the sophomore, junior and senior sections.

Glacier had the best freshman boy: Owen Thiel, who won in 18 minutes, 32.09 seconds. Teammate Burton Ward was fifth among the freshmen.

Colescott won in 15:40.20, and Sentinel’s Keagen Crosby (16:21.09) was second among the seniors and overall.

Glacier’s Jeff Lillard ran 18:27.50 to place eighth among the seniors and 18th overall.

On the girls side Sentinel senior Malia Bradford ran the fastest: 19:39.89; Hellgate juniors Stella Diaz and Kaitlyn Skinner were next overall, and Glacier’s Bailey Gable ran 21:26.66 to take third among juniors and seventh overall.

Teammate Annabeth Henke was seventh among the juniors. Sabrina McDonnell was fifth among the seniors, Taylor Gable was second among the freshman and Anna Tretter and Alyssa Vollersten finished 3-4 in the sophomore race.
