Glacier girls get first win of season

Reagan Brisendine lit up the scoreboard with five goals in the Glacier Wolfpack’s 8-2 win over Missoula Sentinel Tuesday in Western AA soccer.

It was Glacier’s first victory after starting the season 0-4.

Brisendine added two assists. Emmery Schmidt scored twice and had two assists, and Calista Wroble also scored and had two assists.

Shots — Sentinel 8, Glacier 18; Corner kicks — Sentinel 1, Glacier 3; Fouls — Sentinel 5, Glacier 5.

Glacier 2, Sentinel 2

The Glacier boys soccer team played to a 2-2 tie with Missoula Sentinel on Tuesday.

“A good match between two good teams,” Glacier coach Ryan Billiett said. “A really good even match… It was encouraging for sure.”

Bridger Dalla Betta opened the scoring, but Sentinel’s Arthur Boute tied things up 1-1 before the half.

Glacier’s 2-1 lead on Joey Paolini’s goal didn’t hold up. Ivan Shadow scored a late goal that ensured the draw.

The Wolfpack is 2-1-2.

Both Glacier soccer teams play in Butte on Saturday.
