Donald James Dvorak, 92
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Don Dvorak, 92, of Columbia Falls, on Aug. 31, 2022, but with the peaceful knowledge that he is in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Don was born in Glendive to Edna (Rogers) and James Dvorak. He graduated from high school in 1948 and joined the Navy, reporting aboard the USS Norton Sound. He worked as an electrician’s mate and was in combat action in Korea. In 1953 he met and married Florence Almond of Savage, Montana. Don worked for Beatrice Foods Company for 38 years. Don and Florence retired to Columbia Falls in 1993 where they lived full time until 2005 when they began to split their time between Columbia Falls in the summer and Wikieup, Arizona, in the winter.
As a young boy and into adulthood, Don loved to fish. At the age of 27, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and began to fish for souls. Don loved to share Jesus with others. He attended Bible School in Alberta for four years and was involved with numerous churches throughout his life.
As well as fishing for souls and fish, Don enjoyed yard work (particularly trimming trees), and helping others with any number of projects. Don liked doing a jigsaw puzzle a day, and his favorite snacks were popcorn, potato chips, and boston baked beans.
