Richard “Rick” Leonard Syth, 63

Richard “Rick” Leonard Syth of Kalispell passed away peacefully, with his daughter and sister by his side, on Aug. 27, 2022, in Kalispell.

Rick was the third child born to Jerry Syth and Ruth Soderstrom on April 3, 1959, in Kalispell, where he remained the majority of his life, up until his death.

Rick had a heart of gold and loved deeply. He was genuine, kind and humorous. No matter how hard of a day he was having, he always greeted others with a smile.

Rick was inventive and full of knowledge; a jack-of-all-trades. He loved crafting things out of wood, metal, or anything he could get his hands on. Rick was a true artist at heart.

Rick loved racing his stock cars. He was a Ford man through and through. Rick also enjoyed camping, working on vehicles, creating masterpieces of art, and helping others. Rick was adventurous and always eager to learn new things.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Syth, of Fortine; his mother, Ruth Soderstrom, of Kalispell; and his brother, John Syth of Kalispell.

Rick is survived by his son, Jordan Elliot; his two daughters, Jerilyn and Haley-Jo Syth; his two sisters, Kim Buchholtz and Sherry Lynn Olsen; and one brother, Randy Dennison; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and dear friends.

Rick brought joy to many people's lives and strived to care for those he loved in any way that he could.
