Cherris Janelle (Kienas) Collier, 77
Cherris Janelle (Kienas) Collier, 77, passed away peacefully on Aug. 30, 2022, in Kalispell.
Cherris was born to Alice and Edward Kienas on Nov. 1, 1944, in Kalispell. Cherris shared a life with six siblings: brothers Art, Robert, Bud, Keith and Kenny, and sisters Rosalie Ayars and Linda Larson.
Cherris married Ervin “Bill” Collier on Aug. 22, 1970, and they have three children: Kristi, Dec. 28, 1964, Robert, Sept. 8, 1965, and Chad, May 7, 1972.
She was preceded in death by both parents, and her siblings: brothers Art, Robert, Bud, Keith and Kenny and sisters Rosalie “Rosie” Ayars and Linda Larson; and son, Robert Collier.
She is survived by her husband Ervin “Bill” Collier, and children Kristi and her spouse Richard, and Chad and his spouse Tracy (Osler) Collier; as well as grandchildren, Kourtney, Robert, Amanda, Andrew and Kord, all whom she adored; and a special sister-in-law, JoAnne Kienas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Cherris found immense joy in gardening, reading, shopping, collecting Thomas Kincaid paintings, and loved spending time with her family; family was everything to her.
Cherris was a fiery redhead, both physically and in spirit, and known as a force to be reckoned with. She is gone out of our sight but not out of our hearts and forever missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held later in the San Juan Islands, a place she loved to spend time with her family and was incredibly special to her.
