Helena spikers sweep Glacier

HELENA – The Helena High Bengals swept Glacier in three sets Saturday, 25-20, 25-17, 25-22.

Mackenzie Jackson led the Bengals with four blocks, six service aces and 16 assists.

For Glacier, Haven Speer served two aces and had 14 assists.

On Friday, Glacier fell to Helena Capital in five. Speer again was a standout with 27 assists. Ella Farrell had five blocks.

HELENA – Flathead pushed the Bengals to five sets Friday, but the home team won the last two sets to take the victory.

Sienna Sterck had 12 kills for Flathead and Olive Lyngholm added nine kills and 15 digs.

BROWNING – Maddie Moultray had an all-around breakout game for the Columbia Falls Wildkats in a three-set sweep of the Browning Lady Indians.

Moultray had 13 kills, six digs, three blocks and two service aces for the Wildkats in the 25-21, 25-19, 25-16 win.

“Browning is looking better than ever and we had to come from behind in set 1,” coach Jolandie Brooks said.

Kierra Kemppainen added 18 assists for Columbia Falls.
