HELENA — Carroll (3-1) held off a late flurry from Southern Oregon (1-3) to win 26-14 at home. Spencer Bergen hit two field goals and the Fighting Saints ground game tacked on two touchdowns to secure the victory over the Raiders. Former record-setting Bigfork Vikings back Cormac Benn was responsible for one of the rushing touchdowns when he found the end zone for a one yard touchdown to cap off a 12-play, 65-yard drive in the second quarter that made things 10-0 in Carroll’s favor. The Raiders responded with touchdowns in the third and fourth quarter to make things as close as 20-14, but Baxter Tuggle ripped off a 41-yard run with less than two minutes in the game to close out the victory for the Fighting Saints.

The Battlin’ Bears (3-1) had a whopping 496 total yards of offense while their defense limited the Lights (0-4) to 20 total yards of offense. Former Columbia Falls Wildcat Lucas Thacker had seven tackles for the Lights and Glacier high alumnus JT Allen got some garbage time action at quarterback for the Bears, completing his only pass attempt for an eight yard gain and rushing for 15 yards on three attempts.
