Law roundup: Neighborhood problem brought to deputies

Someone with a “neighborhood problem” in Kalispell sought out the help of the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.

A driver in Columbia Falls allegedly honked at a man walking a leashed dog in a ditch after he pulled the dog down and kicked it. The man flipped the driver off.

A woman allegedly used meth and smashed things around a Martin City residence where she wasn’t supposed to be.

A man reportedly found blue powder and a needle in a ditch near his Kalispell business. It was collected for destruction.

Someone calling from Kalispell reportedly told deputies they were responsible for running a relative’s caregiving team and fired a woman who was acting disorderly and voiced concerns that she might have a secret key and would break in to hurt the relative.

A Columbia Falls tenant allegedly received “vulgar” texts from a landlord who called her names.

A crying woman reportedly called deputies from Somers when she locked herself out of her house, the keypad died and no locksmiths were available.

Someone calling from Kalispell allegedly heard their car alarm go off, heard dogs barking and saw a truck drive off, which made them think someone was trying to steal the vehicle.

A Kalispell Police Department officer stopped to check what a female and two children were up to. They were OK, just dancing.

An older woman allegedly tried to use “fake money,” which an employee confiscated and told the Kalispell Police Department she left on foot and noted that the wallet she was using looked stolen as well because there was a different ID in it. She was counseled about her actions.

Four men were reportedly seen shooting up drugs and a car stopped by to get something from them and left.

A woman’s key fob allegedly worked fine at home but when she went into a parking lot it was jamming. She called officers to see if this type of thing had happened before.

Someone had questions about no trespassing and private property signs.

Officers received a call from a concerned husband whose wife was allegedly watched in a store by a short man with a gray beard who followed her out to the parking lot and tried to open her door but ran when he heard her dog.

A woman called officers because she reportedly didn’t feel comfortable walking past a group of people taking up the entire sidewalk to the crosswalk and wanted them moved along. Officers drove through the area and were unable to locate the group.

A laptop was reported stolen out of a vehicle.

A chainsaw was allegedly stolen from a Kalispell property while a tenant was out of town and the landlord would not let them back on the property despite never giving them an eviction notice.

Elk antlers were reported stolen from outside a barn in Bigfork.
