Bill Hagerman, 87

Bill Hagerman, 87, of Kalispell, passed away at his home looking at the mountains on March 27, 2023.

Bill was born Nov. 28, 1935 in Wells, Michigan to Percy and Marion Hagerman. He was raised on a farm in Minnesota then moved with the family to Montana in his early teens. There he met the love of his life, Muriel, who lived across the street; they were just kids playing softball and marbles together (Mom always won). Bill and Muriel were married June 1st, 1957, and recently celebrated 65 years together. In 1958, Bill joined his father-in-law Dick Savage in the Christmas tree business. They worked the business for 30 years.

Bill started Hagerman Drywall in the Flathead Valley which he owned and operated for over 50 years.

In 1970 Bill and Muriel purchased land with a cabin in the North fork. Snowmobiling, huckleberry picking, fishing and hunting were favorite memories. In his later years Bill loved living at the farm on the Stillwater River with great views of Glacier Park and where his family loved to visit. He was a kind, honest and hard working man.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Percy and Marion; his brother Donnie (Sis); and sisters Myra Finck (Arnold) Bette Huggins (Bill). He is survived by his wife Muriel; daughters, Shelly Hughbanks (Jim), Lechia Maag (Bill); sons, Cody (Lisa) and Jody; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Bill will be missed by all who knew him.

Services will be at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home on Friday April 7 at 11 a.m.
