Law roundup: Man asks to talk with officers about life
Looking to bend an ear, a man called the Columbia Falls Police Department. He asked dispatchers to see if there was an officer willing to chat about life. He said he had driven around town hoping to find someone to talk with, but been unsuccessful in that regard. An officer attempted to call him back, but proved unable to get hold of the man.
Another man called dispatchers looking for his missing phone. He last remembered having it while on the couch in his home. Dispatchers recommended he search the area he last recalled seeing the device.
A man attempting to hand over his sexual and violent offender paperwork to the police department found his interactions with officers lacking. Calling in afterward, he told authorities that an officer refused to take the paperwork. He planned to return with the documentation and file a complaint with administration. Upon his return, officers filed the materials.

A Ford Escort driving along Martha Road raised suspicion. A caller told dispatchers that the motorist, a woman, appeared to be chasing their truck. The Escort parked in a neighbor’s driveway and the woman emerged, stood for a moment and got back into the vehicle, which then left the neighborhood.
A caller told dispatchers they could hear their stepfather hitting their mother.
Medical responders were requested for a woman vomiting red and black blood.
