Duo assists with home organization to create beautiful spaces

As mothers and teachers, sisters-in-law Samantha Jones and Tabatha Venezio know the importance of organization. With their new business, Simply Organized Montana, the two women are bringing a luxury home organization experience to the Flathead Valley.

“We started Simply Organized to help people,” said Venezio. “We’ve been in the people helping industry for forever. This is just a different avenue. Ultimately, we want to provide a service to the growing valley.”

For Jones and Venezio, having an organized space is more than just about the aesthetic. It’s about maintaining sanity, finding peace, and being able to focus on what’s important in your home.

“Organization isn’t just pretty,” said Jones. “It’s also about function and how it’s going to make your life easier. So much of what we do is a kickstart. We give [clients] hope and motivation that it doesn't have to be like this forever. Organization is attainable for people, especially if a priority for them is peace in their home.”

A consultation with Simply Organized begins with a discussion regarding goals, what’s currently working in a space, what needs to change, and what a client hopes to achieve. From the beginning to the end of the experience, Jones and Venezio ensure that the experience is tailored to each families’ unique space and lifestyle.

“We have really enjoyed the aspect of working one on one with our clients to help them set up their homes in a way that works best for them and that’s what’s fun about it. It’s different for everyone, and what might work for one family doesn’t work for another,” said Venezio. “If you’re wanting us to guide you in the right direction, we offer that. And if you want us to come in and completely transform the space and do it all for you, we can do that also.”

Though Simply Organized is still in its infancy, Jones and Venezio have already celebrated several client success stories such as a recent pantry makeover.

“[The client] was just amazed,” Venezio said. “Her kids could access things so much easier and she had no idea that all of her things could fit in the pantry and be in an orderly system.”

From pantries and closets to playrooms and garages, Jones and Venezio will organize any space they can get their hands on. While part of the job is giving a space new life, the other half of it is teaching clients how to implement sustainable organizational systems.

“Some people think that you’re either organized or you’re not. But organization is something you can learn,” Jones said. “Tabatha has always been organized and I haven’t, but through doing life together, and having kids the same age, I realized it's so important to have systems in place. It’s always going to be busy and these systems can really help.”

“A common misconception of home organizers is that it doesn’t necessarily mean that everything is organized at all times,” Jones added. “Trying to reach that is unrealistic and sets yourself up for failure. We’re all human.”

Being in the education, Venezio and Jones are keenly aware of the organizational skills it takes to successfully run a classroom as well as communicate effectively with students.

“From a teacher's perspective, if you have 25 little humans in one space, and you are not organized, it will be complete chaos,” Venezio said with a laugh. “Kids are able to learn when they’re not overly distracted by the external things and they can focus on what’s important.”

“As a counselor, the role is so similar in the problem solving aspect,” Jones added. “Home organization is like a form of therapy and self care.”
