Intersection of Fourth Avenue East, East Center Street to close for water and sewer project

The intersection of East Center Street and Fourth Avenue East will be closed starting April 26 as part of an ongoing water and sewer replacement project.

The closure is expected to last about one week while a manhole and portion of sewer are replaced. Work will continue on Fourth Avenue East, north of the intersection, upon the intersection’s reopening.

A portion of the sewer replacement project is planned to take place under Fourth Avenue East, but most will be replaced along Fifth Alley East.

The project is expected to be completed by December, according to officials with the Kalispell Department of Public Works.
