Whitefish businesswomen’s meeting
The Whitefish Chamber of Commerce’s quarterly businesswomen's group Let's Be Bold meets Wednesday, May 10, with a special focus on how they can help local nonprofits better serve the community. More than a dozen local nonprofits will be in attendance for the event, talking about their organizations, their mission, and how local business owners and managers can help them make a difference. The meeting is being hosted at Whitefish Moose Lodge, 230 W. 10th Street from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch
Rural business development meeting
USDA, Rural Development will be hosting a seminar for rural small businesses and agricultural producers to learn about how USDA can help make their operations more energy efficient through Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) funding before the June 30 funding application deadline. REAP provides grant funding and guaranteed loan financing to rural small businesses and agricultural producers for renewable energy systems or to make energy efficiency improvements. The meeting will be on May 10 from 1 - 2 p.m. at Montana West Economic Development, 44 2nd Avenue West, Kalispell.
Community Economic development strategy meeting
Montana West Economic Development is updating the Flathead County five-year Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy and is seeking community input. MWED is encouraging citizens and business representatives to attend and to share ideas about challenges and opportunities for the county. The Whitefish meeting will take place on May 8 from 9 - 10 a.m. at National Parks Realty, 601 Spokane Avenue.
High tech industry networking
Join the Flathead Tech Professionals for an evening of networking and conversation with local tech industry peers on May 4. Participation is limited to individuals working at technology companies, or technologists like IT professionals or programmers working in other industries. The event is hosted by Scout’s Grill, 27 Scout Ln, Columbia Falls from 5 - 6:30 p.m.
