William Aloyce Stacy, 82

William “Bill” Aloyce Stacy, 82, of Columbia Falls, passed away Aug. 6, 2023. He was born March 23, 1941 in Eureka to the late James L. Stacy and Lilly F. Stacy (Armstrong).

Bill was an independent and outgoing person that had the “gift to gab.” He talked to everyone and was a great storyteller. Bill was always willing to help a stranger in need. He could always make you feel welcome. Bill started his professional career early in life at the old sawmill behind Tally Lake. From there, he was able to save up enough money to eventually start his own trucking business. He was involved in the logging association and even became their local spokesperson. Some of Bill’s hobbies included were watching Indy car racing, WWE wresting, collecting belt buckles and goose hunting. The family will always remember the special time spent on the Pacific Coast during family vacations.

Bill is survived by son, Bill Stacy; daughter, Shelly Hutchins (Michael); son, William L. Stacy (Linda); son, Kelly D. Stacy (Andrea); son, Steve Chaffee; seven grandchildren, Cody, Lindsey, Brittney, Alyssa, Kyle, Kaleb and Jacob; five great-grandchildren; and five siblings, James Jr, Donnie, Ron, Alan and Doreen. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by wife, Audrey Ellen Stacy; and four siblings, Beryl, Jerry, Marlene and Dean.
