No. 29652 INVITATION TO BID FOR MEADOWLARK DRIVE SEWER MAIN REPLACEMENT (WILLOW PROJECT) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids for construction of the Meadowlark Drive Sewer Main Replacement (Willow Project) will be received by the Flathead County Water District No. 1 - Evergreen at 130 Nicholson Drive, Kalispell, Montana until 3:00 PM local time on August 29, 2023 and then publicly opened and read aloud. The District will receive such bids electronically ONLY via QuestCDN. SCOPE OF WORK. The Project includes, without limitation, furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work necessary to satisfactorily complete the Project, as more specifically described as follows: BASE BID: Replace approximately 150 lineal feet of 6-inch sanitary sewer main. Project will include trenching (including over-excavation) and removal of existing sewer pipe; supply and installation of subbase material in trench, pipe bedding, 6-inch Schedule 40 PVC pipe with joint restraint, and backfill; flowable fill ballast, backfill mounding over trench, and restoration. Site restoration will include the temporary removal and replacement of chain link fence in area disturbed by construction; removal and disposal of existing shed; grading, site preparation and installation of District supplied new shed. This Work will be performed in strict conformance with the Contract Documents, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction, and applicable regulations. The quantity of Work to be performed and materials to be furnished are approximations only, being given as a basis for the comparison of Bids. Actual quantities of Work to be performed may vary at the discretion of the District Engineer. OBTAINING BID DOCUMENTS. Prospective Bidders must purchase contract documents through QuestCDN. There is a non-refundable fee to download the project documents and an additional non-refundable fee to bid the project. PRE-BID MEETING AND SITE VISIT. There will not be a Pre-Bid Conference for this project. However, a site visit will be scheduled for 1:00 PM MDT on August 15, 2023 to view the conditions of the site. Contractor and any of the Contractor’s Subcontractors bidding or doing work on this project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond payable to Flathead County Water District No. 1 - Evergreen, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful Bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance, as required, shall be provided by the successful Bidder(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. FUNDING. This project is funded in part or in whole with grant/loan funding from Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Bids may only be withdrawn as provided in Section 16.02 of the Instructions to Bidders after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids.
