Tony Ray Smith, 61

Tony Ray Smith, 61, born Feb. 1, 1962, and raised in Columbia Falls, passed into eternity Aug. 19, 2023, after his courageous battle with cancer.

Tony is survived by his three children, Jordan of Philadelphia, PA; Trevor of Rapid City, SD; and Sydney of Phoenix, AZ; his siblings, Tami Sue, Sherry, Terry, and sister-in-law, Taryn; his uncle and aunt, Bill and Linda Smith; three nieces; two nephews and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Betty Smith.

Tony was a physical educator, coach, and athletic director. He taught in Rapid City for 33 years and ended his career in Rocklin, CA.

Tony loved working with his students. He loved the outdoors and was very athletic person. In life he was a compassionate, loving, giving person. His biggest joy was giving to others. He was loved by many family and friends.

A celebration of Tony’s life will be scheduled at a later date.
