Rosemary Glessing, 90
Rosemary Glessing, 90, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 20, 2023, after a lengthy illness in Baltimore, Maryland.
She was born on April 06, 1933 to European immigrants in Chicago, Illinois and raised on a farm in Winter, Wisconsin.
She married Herbert Glessing on June 12, 1954, after she graduated from the Holy Family Nursing School in Manitowoc, Wisconsin in 1953.
The couple ventured to Sitka, Alaska and she worked for the USPHS in hospitals there for two years before starting their family in Kalispell, Montana.
She worked as a registered nurse in community health and the Head Start program for 20 years as a health nurse/ coordinator.
She was an active member of the St. Anns Roman Catholic church in Somers, Montana, the Mountain View Birthday Club and the Red Hat Society.
She loved nature, animals, traveling, and maintaining a beautiful yard and flower gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Glessing; parents, Joseph and Alice Van Mullem; and her oldest brother, Edmond Van Mullem.
She is survived by her two children, Julie Baum in Pennsylvania, and Bruce Glessing in Maryland; siblings, Geraldine Hall in Texas, Albert Van Mullem/ Christine of Wisconsin, and Joseph Van Mullem of Montana.
Other family members include son-in-law, Jesse Baum; four grandchildren, Jamal Winkler/ Hillary Jennell Winkler, Tyler Baum/ Melinda, Victoria Hess/ Tim. Also two great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Storey and Jameson Baum, a sister in law in Wisconsin and many nieces and nephews.
Her beautiful smile, pure heart and love for all she knew will be treasured and missed.

A small memorial service will be held at the Chapel at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Baltimore at 10 a.m. on Dec. 15, 2023.
