Law roundup: Man flags down driver and steals car
Someone involved themselves in a stressful ordeal that began when they drove past a guy who began yelling at them and stopping to see what the fuss was about.
When they stopped, the man started running toward them. He allegedly jumped in the car and their friend, who was still inside, hopped out. He stole the car and they walked two hours to get to a phone and call the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. Since the friend’s phone was still inside the vehicle, they were able to track the car to Bowdish Road where it was found stuck in a ditch with the car keys and other belongings gone. They told deputies their mom was going to meet them at their location.
The “big [bad] wolf dog” was hanging around a Whitefish resident’s yard one morning. Although it didn’t try to blow their house down, they still wanted to talk to the animal control officer.
