All students must pass their respective national licensing exams (NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-PN) after they graduate before they can begin working as nurses. The National Council of State Boards of Nursing develops the NCLEX exam to test the competency of nursing school graduates across the U.S. and Canada.
These nurse pinning ceremonies induct graduates into the highly respected profession of nursing and provide them with the first opportunity to build a sense of community with their peers and nursing faculty as they begin their journey toward becoming registered nurses or licensed nurse practitioners.
FVCC nursing programs have limited enrollment capacity necessitating a competitive applicant selection process. All graduates are to be commended for their commitment to completing a fast-tracked, academically rigorous curriculum that leads to employment in a high-demand workforce and highly rewarding careers.
