Law roundup: Pedestrian involved in hit-and-run

A newer dark-colored Jeep Cherokee allegedly struck a pedestrian and drove away without stopping. The woman couldn’t stop crying to tell dispatch whether she was injured but managed to say, “Get someone here,” before the call disconnected. At the time of the incident, the Jeep was headed westbound on California Street.

A resident reportedly made “awkward eye contact” through his backdoor with a man trying to steal a mountain bike in his backyard. The would-be bicycle thief, who was wearing a black hoodie and backpack, ran off.

Someone’s neighbor was allegedly holding a rambunctious family gathering when someone reported hearing a baby screaming and a man screaming at his wife from the porch of their residence to the Kalispell Police Department.

A speaker was reported stolen out of a woman’s car.

Someone who allegedly sold a vehicle to a woman a while ago but didn’t remove their license plates before turning it over complained that she hadn’t removed them yet after she was seen driving in town. The seller wanted to know if the police could remove them.

Someone reportedly went into a house and stole everyone’s wallets, phones and other items.

A  gift card and a power bank valued at $30 were allegedly stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in an alley. 

A woman reportedly tried to shoplift several hundred dollars worth of items.

An employee allegedly asked a woman several times to put her dog on a leash or leave and she refused to do both, claiming the canine was a service dog. Officers moved her along.

A man and woman reportedly stole two large bags of items and fled the scene in an early-1990s dark-colored Honda Accord with trash bags over a busted-out passenger window.

A woman’s drunk boyfriend was reportedly destroying her house in Bigfork.

A man allegedly slapped his ex across the face during a child exchange in Kalispell.

Someone reportedly found an abandoned and very thin Great Pyrenees mix. They told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office they saw the dog by a trailer that had been towed and believed it had been tied to it at some point for an unknown amount of time.

An older woman with a flashlight was allegedly standing in a Kalispell intersection and looked like she was trying to direct traffic.

Footprints in the snow reportedly led to a bicycle leaning against a fence that had been cut in Whitefish.

A pink Cannondale brand bicycle and up to four snowboards were reported stolen from a shed in Kalispell.

A padlock on a work trailer in Kalispell was allegedly found cut off and a DeWalt generator missing.
