Law roundup: Customer tries to pick fight
A combative customer reportedly had a confrontation with a security employee at closing time and waited for him in the parking lot wanting to fight. The employee didn’t take the bait and told the Kalispell Police Department he was able to safely leave and go home.
A short individual wearing plaid pajamas, and a black hoodie and hat was thirsty for a buzz and allegedly stole a 12-pack of Twisted Tea and beer.
A woman with a German shepherd reportedly went into a grocery store deli where she took off her shoes and kicked back by the fireplace. Her rest and relaxation was cut short by her disorderly behavior, however. An employee called 911 to have her banned from all store locations because she was being verbally aggressive, a nuisance and engaging with customers.
A man allegedly pounded on a resident’s door and held up a badge to her window, claiming to be with the cable company.
Someone called their neighbor about a suspicious woman with a shovel reportedly walking around his yard. Officers moved her along.
An employee was reportedly making “derogatory” comments about minor employees and someone voiced concerns to police that the manager wasn’t doing anything about it. Although law enforcement couldn’t do anything to assist with the HR issue, an officer encouraged them to, “keep climbing up the chain of command and demand results.”
Someone was suspicious that a man wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans was running from police who had stopped at a nearby location.
A man was reportedly tired of looking at a Buick LeSabre with a bunch of stuff in the backseat that was parked at the end of his driveway for about a week.
A reportedly aggressive dog was growling and “stalking” someone around an apartment complex.
A silver Toyota truck was allegedly swerving in and out of lanes on Main Street.
A shoplifter was given a lifetime ban from a store, cited for theft and released.
A man who was allegedly evicted for behavioral issues was moved along by officers after the building manager said he was at the front door with all his belongings and wouldn’t leave.
A man with a spring in his step reportedly hopped a fence and cut the latch off at a business.
A man with a large file of documents stopped by the police department asking to speak with an officer about alleged internet fraud and losing hundreds of thousands of dollars.
A woman went to the parking lot to find her 2023 Honda CRV gone. She reported it stolen but officers discovered it was repossessed and told her to contact the lien holder to sort the situation out.
