Spotting a red sedan parked in a lot off of Idaho Street with a sign on it reading “pit bull puppies” and children playing nearby, a passerby feared the worst and called the Kalispell Police Department. They told authorities they suspected that the operation was a front and the children were actually the ones up for auction. Officers investigated and learned that the only items for sale were puppies.

A caller reported a man “going crazy” in front of an office, smashing and grabbing at nonexistent items. Officers met up with the man and he moved along.

A tiff between neighbors on different floors of the same building threatened to spiral out of control with one banging on the ceiling and the other pounding on a door. Officers counseled both individuals.

A foster parent told authorities that their foster son’s wallet had gone missing in the past day or so. It contained a driver’s license and credit cards.

The howling of a dog prompted an apartment dweller to contact the police. They said the dog sounded distressed and was apparently knocking items over in the apartment above. It sounded as if a chain was getting knocked about. Responding officers were met with silence and concluded no one was home.

Checking up on personal property, a resident discovered that burglars had busted into his shed. He told investigators that tools and other items were taken in the heist. Officers directed the man to draft a list of items taken and turn it over to investigators.

A passerby reported seeing a man pushing a shopping cart down a traffic lane on Main Street. Officers unsuccessfully sought to locate him.

Apparently catching a man breaking their car window with some unknown object, an automobile owner alerted the police.

Officers warned a motorist for traveling with a brake light out.

Another motorist reported someone driving an older model Chevrolet for nearly t-boning them. The Chevy was headed south on U.S. 93 and later was allegedly seen running stop signs in Kalispell.

One member of a group of teenagers earned a talking to from the police after they tore down an alleyway in a small burgundy car, nearly hitting a woman walking her dog. She told officers she had to grab the animal and jump out of the way. With her help, officers tracked down the car and spoke to its driver as well as his mother.

A hotel employee phoned the police after a parent phoned him and said that a group of minors were partying in a room.

A caller looking to get an update on the balance of her credit or debit card accidentally dialed emergency services.

Someone rifled through parked vehicles overnight, though the victims noted that nothing appeared to be missing.
