Josephine Susanna Walter, 88

Josephine Susanna Walter, loving mother passed away peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 24, 2023, at 88 years old.

Born on March 24, 1934, to Elmer and Clara Bruyer, she was the fourth of five children. They were raised on the family farm in the Northwest area of the Flathead Valley. She often would speak fondly of those years “on the farm."

Jo was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years Jim on Sep. 6, 2019. There was not a day that went by that she did not tell us how much she missed him! Her eldest son Jim Jr., passed away on June 18, 2020.

She is survived by her children, Catherine (Larry), Barbara (Keith), Christopher (Jenny) and Glenn(Jen); grandchildren Mike(Anna), Jeff, Tom, Susanna, Daniel, and Eirwyn; and great-grandsons Elliot, Sam and Adam.

A celebration of mom’s life will be held in Kalispell at a later date.
